Sleipner is a high-alloy tool steel known for being a versatile, high-performance steel with good wear resistance, toughness, and edge retention. It is often considered an upgrade to traditional steels like D2, offering improved resistance to chipping while maintaining excellent edge stability and machinability. It's used for medium-run cold work tooling, tactical knives, and other applications requiring a tough and durable blade.

Zack Ferguson is a former Navy SEAL (SEAL Team 7) who served as his platoon’s lead sniper and point-man on deployments to Iraq, Yemen, and Africa. He specialized in reconnaissance, long-range precision, close-quarters combat, and mission planning under extreme pressure.

After leaving the military, Zack co-owns Defense Strategies Group and Training Center LA, delivering practical, reality-based tactical and self-defense training to civilians, law enforcement, and private clients.
