Called to dominion
Unarmored is not the end of the journey-it is the beginning of true authority.
Once the armor is removed and we walk the unarmored path in humility and obedience, we are positioned to take dominion. Not the world's version of control or conquest, but God's original mandate: to rule and subdue the earth as faithful stewards (Genesis 1:28)
Dominion is not domination. It is responsible authority exercised with wisdom, discipline, and care. It means stepping into your God-given role as provider, protector, teacher, and leader-in your family, your land, your community, and your calling.
This is where I am now.
After years of armored warfare, I'm learning to walk unarmored so I can rule rightly-not by force, but by alignment with the King. Hunting is the clearest piscture of this: we take life with reverence, provide with gratitude, and steward creation with honor and respect. It is dominion in action-the warrior redeemed into the image of the ultimate Steward.
The armor is off. The call is clear. Now we rise and rule as sons of who know thier Father.
WALKING THE CALL
means answering "Here am I. Send me" with open hands instead of clenched fists/ It is moving from constant readiness for war to purposeful obedience in peacetime-leading your family, serving your community, and fulfilling the unique assignment God has given you.
For us-former operators, veterans, fathers, and men who have lived in armor, this path is not weakness. It is next level strength.
It means:
- Entrusting God to go before you in all your battles
- Exchanging isolation for brotherhood and accountability
- Turning past battles into wisdom that helps others heal
- Leading with both disciplines and compassion
This is the transition every warrior must eventually face: from "a time to kill" to "a time to heal." From armored operator to protected disciple. From surviving to thriving in the fullness of who God created you to be.
The armor kept us alive in the fight.
Now we lay it down so we can truly live.
It is time that you put your hands down and let the LORD fight your battles.
